Our Team

Founder

Tania Ahuja is Founder, CEO and President of Quantum Quest Holdings, a multifaceted company devoted to furthering research in neuroplasticity and its applications in helping treat learning disabilities in children. Uniquely qualified with leadership experience in not-for-profit and finance industries, Ms. Ahuja has previously been a founding member, trustee and treasurer of Sanskriti Center, a center for Indian art and culture for children in Manhattan. She was also advisor to the NYU Stern School of Business social entrepreneurs’ initiative. For the past decade, she has served on the board of various organizations’ boards, including Paper Bag Players and Summit Music Festival. She is an Assistant Vice President in Risk Architecture at Citigroup. Tania has a PhD in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a Masters in Science in Operations Research from Case Western Reserve University. She lives with her husband and three children in New York City.

Excel Lifesciences (ELS)

Excel Life Sciences is a U.S. based provider of comprehensive clinical trial management services. ELS will provide QQCC with research from clinical trials in an ongoing partnership to develop the latest methodologies for learning disabled students.

ELS has conducted more than 350 clinical trials with thousands of patients, regularly speak at medical conferences, and publish clinical research papers in industry publications. Their experienced team works to accelerate clinical research and deliver new drugs and medical devices to the markets, while maintaining the highest standards of quality. ELS currently has three locations in Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; and Raleigh, NC. Its senior management team brings experience drawn from leading industry companies and the broader business world, including: Sandoz, Upjohn, Pfizer, Thomson Corporation, CenterWatch, Quintiles, D. Anderson & Company, Microsoft, American Express and Marriott International.

Vinay Kumar, Co-Founder and Managing Director, KBR Fund, LP

Vinay Kumar is co-founder of the KBR Fund, LP – the second multimillion dollar private equity distressed real estate fund in the United States. Prior to this, Mr. Kumar was with Sierra Ventures, a $1.5 billion venture capital firm which conducts cross-border technology company investments. Mr. Kumar is also an Operating Partner for Bertram Capital, a $350 million dollar mid-market private equity fund. He is also an advisor to Excel Life Sciences.


Advisory Board

Professor Jeffrey Carr, New York University

Professor Carr joined New York University Stern School of Business as a Clinical Associate Professor of Marketing and Entrepreneurship, and Executive Director of the Berkley Center for Entrepreneurial Studies in September 2007.

An Adjunct Associate Professor at Stern for the last 13 years, Professor Carr won the Stern/Citibank Teacher of the Year Award in 1996. As president of Marketing Foundations Inc., he is also an entrepreneur and marketing consultant with a worldwide clientele in the manufacturing and service industries. He has completed consulting projects and delivered executive development programs for Booz Allen Hamilton, IBM, General Electric, Pfizer, Kodak, Time Inc., and Unilever, among others. For the last 12 years, Professor Carr has also been involved in a United Nations-sponsored program to help developing countries create more effective budgeting strategies and implementation plans for their healthcare initiatives.

Professor Carr earned his B.A. in Economics from Wright State University and his M.B.A. in Marketing from Tulane University.
